Woodlands and waterfalls starting to be my favourite type of photography. Why? Well the answer is really easy. Woodland photography is very challenging to photograph. When you step in to forest or woodland soon you will find out yourself surrounded by chaos. Nothing will make sense. And your mission is to find the right composition which will create peace with all the chaos around .

Photos which I will share with you here were captured at the same locations throughout the whole season. So lets start with the spring . I love spring because everything start to getting green again . Fresh ferns, moss and all the leaves.

In some areas you can still find the left overs of snow. The river is freezing cold so the right wellies are necessary! What I love about woodland photography ? Peaceful surrounding . River stream flowing through the rocks. Birds singing and gentle wind blow around you, that is real symphony to me and helps me to focus .

Fog is another partner in my photography journeys . Foggy conditions help me to separate the scenery and creating amazing atmosphere. That feeling what I have whenever I'm exposed to that conditions can't be explain . You won't always get the perfect conditions, but I try to work with what the nature give it to me .

Another big help is when the light is on your side. On this photo you can see beautifully back lit tree trunk and his parts covered in moss. This wasn't easy to photograph because it was very high dynamic scene.

CPL polarizer filter is necessary thing to have when you capturing woodland surroundings. It helps the greens pop out and cut through the glare.

Well here is another example when light helped me to create beautiful image. The secret behind this was early morning trip when the light is nice and soft so in final result you get stunning glow and perfectly lit scene without harsh light situation

And here we got Autumn colours. What I love about autumn is that you get all sorts of colours . You can see still a little bit of greenery but the most part is lovely yellow, red and orange colours. You can also notice that the winter coming slowly and the nature showing it at the best possible way . It`s almost like and painting. Spring and Autumn is my favourite time of the year and I have couple trips and locations planed to visit so you can look forward for more stunning photos similar to this one.

Here are few images "behind the scene" so you can have better idea how some of these images been taken. It`s not always easy to find right place where I can put my tripod, but this won`t stop me and I always find the way to capture amazing photo. Hopefully you liked my short article about hidden gems around my area .
